MacTransfer Companion turns your Android phone into a wireless file-transfer endpoint for the MacTransfer app on macOS. Move photos, videos, voice recordings, and documents between your phone and Mac over your local Wi-Fi — no USB cable, no cloud upload, no third-party servers.

HOW IT WORKS
• Install the free MacTransfer app on your Mac (mactransfer.app)
• Install this Companion app on your phone
• Scan the QR code shown by the Mac app to pair — that's it
• Browse your phone's storage from your Mac and copy files in either direction

KEY FEATURES
• Wireless transfer over your local Wi-Fi network
• Browse your phone's storage from a familiar dual-pane file manager on the Mac
• Copy files in either direction at full Wi-Fi speed
• See real-time transfer progress
• Pair once, reconnect automatically when both devices are on the same network
• Works alongside the Mac app's USB transfer mode — pick whichever is convenient

PRIVACY
• Your files never leave your local network
• No cloud, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising
• No third-party SDKs collect data
• File access is limited to what you transfer; the app does not read or upload anything in the background

PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED
• Storage / Files: required to browse and transfer the files you select
• Camera: only used to scan the pairing QR code
• Local network: required to communicate with your Mac on the same Wi-Fi
• Foreground service: keeps the connection alive while a transfer is in progress

Pair this with the free MacTransfer Mac app at https://mactransfer.app — both required for the wireless flow.
