Milepost is the field-operations platform for crews that work outside — public-works departments, highway and water/sewer districts, and private contractors. Know who's on the clock, what the job cost, and prove it.

Accurate timekeeping
Crews clock in from the phone they already carry, geofenced to the job site. Off-site or wrong-device punches flag themselves for review. No signal? The punch is captured on the device, GPS-stamped, and synced when service returns — flagged as a delayed sync, never dropped.

Location only while on the clock
Milepost records the on-duty location trail only while a crew member is clocked in — and it stops the moment they clock out. It never tracks location off the clock. On-duty breadcrumbs are cleared after 90 days. See our privacy policy for details.

Fleet and true cost per hour
Every truck and machine on one page: hours, fully-burdened cost per hour, DVIR pre-trips, and the maintenance record. When the board or the office asks what a storm, a road, or a job actually cost, the number is already there.

Payroll without re-keying
Approved hours export coded to the fund, budget line, or job — as a CSV/GL file your payroll system can import. For New York highway departments, CHIPS-eligible hours are documented as the work happens.

A record that holds up
Every entry lands in a tamper-evident, append-only audit trail. Nothing is edited or deleted without a trace, so the record is ready for the board, the Comptroller, or any audit — and the annual records audit becomes a guided hour instead of a two-day paper chase.
