My Budget keeps your household accounts without making you type in every
receipt. Enter the expenses and income that repeat — mortgage, bills, salary,
subscriptions — once, and each month's entries appear on the calendar by
themselves.

A CALENDAR, NOT A LIST

Open the app and you see the month: a red dot where money goes out, a green one
where it comes in. Tap a day and what's due appears underneath. One tap to tick
something off, another to correct the amount when a bill comes in higher than
expected.

POINT IT AT THE RECEIPT

At the till or the petrol pump, instead of typing: point the camera and the app
reads while you hold the phone. When the frame turns green it has understood —
you see the amount on screen, tap, and the form opens already filled in with the
total, the date and the shop. No taking a photo and hoping it was any good.

If you've registered your cards with their last four digits it also works out
which account the money came out of, and if it doesn't know the card it offers to
add it. From the second time in the same shop, the category and description come
ready. Receipts are read entirely on the phone: no image is ever saved or sent
anywhere.

MORE THAN ONE ACCOUNT, MORE THAN ONE CARD

Current account, debit card, credit card, prepaid, cash: each with its own
balance. A debit card can be linked to the account it draws on, so nothing gets
counted twice.

And above all: every card says when the money actually leaves. Straight away,
after a few days with a debit card, or on a fixed day of the following month with
a credit card. On the calendar the expense stays on the day you made it, but the
balance counts it when it goes — that is the moment the money isn't there any
more. On a credit card you also see how much is still to come out, and from
which day.

PHONE AND TABLET IN STEP

On the same Wi-Fi network your devices find each other and stay in step by
themselves. No server, no account, no cloud: the data goes straight from one
device to the other, encrypted with a word only you know.

EVERYTHING ELSE

• Repeating expenses and income with any pattern, and for loans you can simply
say how many instalments there are.
• Reminders: a notification a few days before anything is due, at a time you
choose.
• Editable categories, with icon and colour.
• Where the month actually went, category by category.
• Bank and reconciliation: import the CSV or Excel file from your online
banking. The app works out the columns by itself, skips rows it already has
and suggests which planned entries the transactions match. Anything you forgot
to record you add with one tap.
• Analysis and savings: say how much you want to put aside each month and the
app tells you what's left for food and going out — per month, per week and per
day. If the target doesn't add up it says so, and by how much.

THE SUM ALMOST NOBODY DOES

The costs that don't come every month — insurance, road tax, taxes — get spread
out: £600 a year is £50 a month, not a hammer blow in March. The app tells you
how much to set aside each month so that when they arrive they are already
covered.

YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS

No account, no server, no adverts. The app is not connected to your bank and
sends your data to nobody: the only thing that ever leaves the device is the sync
with your own devices, on your own network, if you switch it on.
