ReedCollar Coin Desk is an offline-first numismatic literacy atelier for flea-market browsers, bank-teller trainees, scout coin-badge mentors, and first-time collectors. Learn to read obverse, reverse, mint mark, legend, and wear before you bid.

This is not a collection inventory, a price log, or a craft sandbox. It is a velvet desk you open on a cold start and practice on—no photos of your holdings, no diary of what you paid.

A catalog that is never empty
Forty-plus seeded coins from US, euro, sterling, yen, and commemorative series live on-device as velvet cards. Each card carries diameter, metal, years, and both plates, so first launch already looks like a workshop.

Two-sided plate viewer
Flip a physical-feeling medallion, pinch-zoom the devices, and tap hotspots for date, mint mark, motto, and designer initials. Study the side in front of you the way you would at a booth.

Drills that train the eye
Mint-mark hunt: fog overlay, timer, and seeded distractor spots for D, S, P, O, and privy marks.
Sheldon wear bench: G-4 through MS-70 against high-relief versus worn cheek, hair, and eagle breast, with coach notes—not a grade log.
Legend decoder: expand truncated Latin and bilingual mottos such as E Pluribus Unum, Dei Gratia, and Liberté Égalité.
Edge and collar lab: reeded, plain, lettered, security, and interrupted-reed edges from macros plus a rotating collar diagram.
Fineness and alloy cards: color and density tells for copper, cupronickel, .900 silver, and gold—without a scale diary.
Counterfeit-tell studio: collar seams, mushy denticles, wrong module, and magnetic versus non-magnetic checks as tap-to-reveal cards.

Four tabs, full desk
Atelier, Catalog, Drills, and Desk, plus coin-detail, mint-hunt, wear-bench, legend-quiz, and recap screens. Mastery chips and last drill score stay on device. A Coin-of-the-Day widget and an evening reminder keep practice close.
