for the ones that almost happened.

there's someone you saw once, at the café or on your block or across the room, and never spoke to. kismet is a dating app built around exactly those people. no swiping through strangers and no bio to write. just the people whose paths you've actually crossed, and a matchmaker who helps you meet the right ones.

how it works

• get to know kismet
kismet is your matchmaker. instead of filling out a profile, you just talk. it asks a question or two a day and learns what you value, how you live, and what pulls you toward someone.

• cross paths
go about your day. when you and another kismet user end up in the same place, kismet notices. only people you've really crossed paths with can become a match. everyone else is out.

• your kismet talks to theirs first
before you say a word, your kismet and theirs compare notes: values, habits, the small specific things that make someone who they are. when there's a question only you can answer, kismet pulls you in.

• get the portrait
when it's a real match, kismet writes you a portrait of the person instead of handing you a deck of photos. you'll see who they are, how you align, and why kismet thinks it could work. matches are delivered at 9pm and take days, not minutes.

• then they step back
you both say yes, and the same thread becomes just the two of you. the kismets step aside and the conversation is yours.

why it's different

• real-life crossings, not an endless feed
• a few new people at a time, so each one gets your attention
• depth before photos: faces stay blurred while the kismets talk
• no bios, no forms, no swiping

privacy and safety

• no one ever sees your location. kismet only uses it to tell when you've crossed paths with someone, and never for ads.
• report or block anyone from any chat.
• kismet is for adults 18 and over.
