ZORIA tells you when the light will be good, and where to go and find it. Sun and moon.

An app for landscape photography: sunset, sunrise, golden hour, blue hour, and a 0-100 rating that tells you whether the sky is worth the trip.

GOLDEN HOUR, TO THE MINUTE
Sunrise, sunset, golden hour, blue hour and solar azimuth, computed on your phone for the city of your choice, with no connection. None of these values is approximate: they come from an astronomical solar engine, and the Android and iPhone versions are checked against each other at every release.

THE SKY SCORE, 0 TO 100
An empty sky has nothing to colour, an overcast sky has nothing to light. ZORIA reads cloud cover at three altitudes, humidity, visibility and chance of rain, and turns them into a rating for the next ten days — free, for everyone.

The model is deliberately simple and openly stated: the canvas of high cloud counts for 42 %, a clear horizon for 30 %, the clarity of the air for 16 %, dryness for 12 %.

A sky forecast at 85 can disappoint. A sky forecast at 40 can surprise you. That is weather, and ZORIA does not pretend otherwise.

ALERTS THAT DO NOT RING FOR NOTHING
Set your threshold and hear from ZORIA only when the sky earns it. At a threshold of 90 you will hear almost nothing: that is the point.

THE ATLAS: 37,220 VIEWPOINTS
Overlooks, orientation tables, promontories — 37,220 places in 102 countries, drawn from OpenStreetMap, each with its own sunset time, altitude and bearing. Sort them by distance and go to the right place, not just at the right time.

ALONG THE AXIS
The two days of the year when the sun will set exactly along the axis of a given viewpoint. An overlook does not move; the sun travels tens of degrees of horizon between December and June. ZORIA computes the date.

THE LIVE GLOBE
The Earth, the day, the night, and the line between them — it moves at 1,670 km/h at the equator. Spin the planet twelve hours either way to see where the sun is setting right now.

THE GALLERY
Other people's photos, taken that same evening, with the sky score of the moment. Your photos stay private until you decide otherwise, and a published photo is withdrawn with one tap. No coordinates ever travel with a photo: only a place name.

THE MOON
Tonight's moon, drawn at its real phase and tilted the way you will actually see it from where you stand: illumination, moonrise, moonset, the next full moon, the next new moon. For your city or any other, and it is free.

With Pro: the evenings when the full moon will rise, or set, along the axis of a viewpoint in the Atlas. Two to five dates a year for a given place, and ZORIA marks the ones where the landscape will still be lit.

THE EVENING LOG
Record what you actually saw. ZORIA compares your notes against its forecasts and computes how often it was right. You will know exactly how much to trust it.

YOUR SOLAR PASSPORT
Your streak of mornings and evenings, and the 24 time zones to collect. Everything stays on your phone.

WHO IT IS FOR
Landscape photographers, hikers, anyone looking for a sunset spot near home, and anyone who watches the sky without a camera.

FRENCH AND ENGLISH
Both languages, switchable at any time in settings.

ZORIA PRO
Solar times, the sky score and all ten forecast days stay free, forever.

Pro adds the Atlas, Along the Axis, the full moon along the axis, alerts on every place you follow at sunrise as well as sunset, unlimited followed places, the statistics of your evening log, and unlimited publishing to the gallery.

Choose a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a launch offer covering the first three months.

WHAT ZORIA DOES NOT DO
No ads. No tracker. No advertising identifier. Your location, when you allow it so the Atlas can sort by distance, is used on the device and sent nowhere. The coordinates sent for the weather are those of the displayed city, rounded to the kilometre.
