Messages: SMS, Messenger Home brings your home screen and everyday conversations together in one convenient Android app. Set it as your default Home app for a customizable launcher experience, and set it as your default SMS app to send, receive and organize SMS and MMS conversations.

WHY PEOPLE SWITCH TO MESSAGE

📥 Smart Inbox Organization
Messages are automatically sorted into Personal, OTP/Secure, and Transactions, so bank alerts and OTPs never get buried under promotions. Find what matters without endless scrolling.

✨ AI Writing Help, On Your Device (New)
Proofread a message before you send it, rewrite it in a friendlier, more professional, or shorter tone, or get a quick summary of a long unread conversation — all powered by on-device AI that never sends your messages to a server.

🧹 Auto-Cleanup for Promotions
Message reads expiry hints in promotional texts ("Sale ends tonight," "Valid until Dec 1") and automatically archives offers once they're no longer useful — your inbox stays clean without any manual sorting.

🚫 Spam & Number Blocking
Block unwanted numbers and spam senders in one tap. Blocked messages are kept out of sight in a separate, private list.

⏰ Schedule Messages for Later
Write now, send later. Perfect for birthday wishes, reminders, and follow-ups you don't want to forget.

👥 Group Messaging, Photos & Voice Notes
Send group texts, photos, and voice messages — not just plain SMS. Group conversations show every participant clearly.

🔎 Search, Archive & Backup
Search across every conversation instantly, archive old chats without losing them, and back up or restore your entire SMS history anytime.

🎨 Widget, Shortcuts, Badges & Themes
Add a home-screen widget for one-tap access to recent chats, use app shortcuts for your top conversations, see unread counts on your app icon, and pick Light, Dark, or System theme.

🔒 Privacy by Design
Sorting and cleanup run locally on your phone. Your message content is never uploaded to a server or used for tracking.

🌐 English & Hindi Support
Use Message fully in English or Hindi — switch anytime in settings.

PRIVACY AND CONTROL

SMS/MMS content, contacts, attachments, launcher layouts and user-created backups are processed for the features you request. Message content and contact data are not used for advertising or analytics. The app includes advertising and uses Google services for consent, analytics and crash diagnostics; see the privacy policy for full details.

PERMISSIONS AND DEFAULT-APP ROLES

To provide its core features, the app asks to become your default Home app and default SMS app. SMS/MMS permissions are required to send, receive and manage messages while the app is your default SMS handler. Contacts permission helps identify conversations and select recipients. Phone permission supports SIM selection and reliable SMS/MMS delivery. Approximate location is requested only if you choose the location attachment. Notification, alarm and related permissions support new-message alerts and scheduled sending. You control permissions in Android settings.

Carrier messaging and data charges may apply when sending SMS or MMS. Available features can vary by device, Android version, carrier and region.
