Sift: Personalised News Around What You Care About

Sift is a personalised news app that lets you follow specific people, companies, policies, products, industries, countries, and events instead of broad news categories.

Instead of following only “Technology,” “Business,” or “Politics,” you can follow the exact entities that matter to you.

Follow:
• OpenAI, not just Tech
• GST Policy, not just Business
• Lewis Hamilton, not just F1
• Apple, Tesla, SEBI, RBI, Nvidia, UPI, startups, countries, policies, and more

FOLLOW ENTITIES, NOT JUST TOPICS

Most news apps organise stories by broad categories. Sift organises news around entities: the real people, companies, policies, technologies, places, and events behind the story.

This helps you build a feed that is more specific to your interests and less crowded with unrelated headlines.

ONE EVENT, MULTIPLE SOURCES

Sift groups related coverage from different publishers into clean event cards, so you do not keep seeing the same story repeated again and again.

Each event card gives you:
• A short summary of what happened
• Context on why it matters
• The entities involved in the story
• Source links so you can read the original coverage

PERSONALISED FEED

Your main feed focuses on the entities and interests you choose. You can follow, boost, ignore, or dislike entities to shape what appears in your feed.

Sift improves over time based on your actions, helping reduce noise and surface more relevant stories.

DISCOVER RELATED STORIES

Sift can also help you discover connected entities and stories. For example, you may see news about a company related to a product you follow, a policy affecting an industry you care about, or a person connected to an event you are tracking.

When Sift shows related stories, it gives context so you understand why they appeared.
