AquaGuard is a real-time water quality monitoring application designed for aquaculture farmers, researchers, and fish farm managers. The app connects to ESP32-based sensor hardware via WiFi and MQTT protocol to provide continuous monitoring of critical water parameters.

WATER QUALITY PARAMETERS

AquaGuard monitors six essential water quality parameters simultaneously:
- Dissolved Oxygen (DO) to prevent fish suffocation
- Carbon Dioxide (CO2) to monitor respiration levels
- Ammonia (NH3) to detect toxic spikes
- Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) for dangerous gas detection
- Magnesium (Mg2+) for essential mineral balance
- Cyanobacteria for harmful algae bloom detection

SMART CONNECTIVITY

The app connects to ESP32 sensor hardware through WiFi and the MQTT cloud protocol. Data updates every 5 seconds in real time. A demo mode is available for testing without hardware.

ALERT SYSTEM

AquaGuard provides three-level alerts, including OK, Warning, and Critical status with colour-coded indicators. The app sends instant notifications when parameters exceed safe thresholds and provides automated remediation recommendations.

REMOTE CONTROL

Users can remotely control aquaculture equipment, including aeration pumps, UV sterilizers, water exchange pumps, and emergency aeration systems directly from the app.

HOW IT WORKS

Set up ESP32 hardware with water quality sensors at your fish pond. Connect AquaGuard via WiFi and MQTT. Monitor all parameters in real time and receive instant alerts on your phone. Control equipment remotely with a single tap.

WHO IS THIS APP FOR

This app is designed for aquaculture farmers managing tilapia, shrimp, catfish, and salmon. It is also suitable for fish farm managers, marine biology researchers, aquaculture PhD students, environmental monitoring professionals, and smart farming enthusiasts.

Note: Hardware setup with ESP32 and compatible sensors is required for live monitoring. Demo mode is available for exploring all features without hardware. This application was developed as part of PhD research in aquaculture IoT systems.stems.
