SilentSilo keeps your passwords and files encrypted on your phone and backs them up to storage you choose: an S3 bucket, a WebDAV server or an SFTP server. There is no SilentSilo account and no SilentSilo server. We never see your data, and we could not read it if we did.

Everything is encrypted on the phone before it leaves. Your storage holds encrypted data. It can see sizes, times and the labels of your keys.

UNLOCK WITH YOUR FINGERPRINT OR A SECURITY KEY
The silo opens with your fingerprint, through a key kept in the phone's secure hardware, or with a FIDO2 security key such as a YubiKey, over NFC or USB. A recovery code you write down opens it when every key is gone.

PASSWORDS
Logins, notes, TOTP codes and passkeys. Autofill fills logins in apps and browsers after a fingerprint. SilentSilo can also be your passkey provider on Android 14 and later. Password health points out reused and weak passwords.

FILES
Keep documents and photos in folders, search the whole silo, preview images, text and PDFs without leaving the app. Share anything to SilentSilo from other apps, even while the silo is locked.

PHONE BACKUP
Back up photos, videos and contacts to the silo, encrypted on the phone. Off until you turn it on.

THE SAME SILO ON YOUR COMPUTERS
The desktop app for Windows and Linux opens the same silo from the same storage. Changes made on any device reach the others. Every computer that shares the silo needs SilentSilo 1.4.0 or later.

YOUR DATA WITHOUT US
The format is documented and a standalone extraction tool is published, so your data can be read without this app.
