Top tips for advanced Brawl Stars players

Brawl may seem easy at first, but after a few games, you'll realize that there's more to this game than meets the eye. Be it the different character strategies or class types, there's a lot of information to take in, and a lot of information to use to your advantage.
Let’s dive into a few advanced tips that’ll help you in your Brawl Stars journey. We’ll dive into character selection, map familiarity, and more, so if you're ready to take the next step into Brawl Stars stardom, read ahead.

Experiment with your basic strategy

You won’t achieve sustained success in Brawl Stars by becoming a stick in the mud and never changing your approach. Be open to adjustments in your strategy from match to match, whether it's a character change or traveling a different path on a map, and you'll be surprised how often it’ll benefit you in the long run.

Rotate your Brawlers

Don’t just stick to one Brawler while playing. That's a recipe for disaster. Keep your opponent’s Brawler selection in mind while drafting yours for a match up. Train at least three or four "main" Brawlers, along with a handful of other options should the situation present itself. A single Brawler can only go so far; and eventually, you'll need to branch out.

Know your surroundings

Every game in Brawl Stars takes place on a map suited for it – Showdown has the big open maps, Brawl Ball is more condensed, etc. Take some time as you play and get to know all of the ins and outs of the area you're playing in. If you know potential shortcuts or pathways, it'll help you get a jump on your opponents very easily.

Save your super!

Using the Super immediately is a big temptation. After all, you filled the meter, you should get the chance to unleash the big moves. However, we would suggest banking that move until a unique opportunity presents itself, as that patience may be rewarded with a victory. We know it's tough, but keep your finger off of the super move trigger; it could make all the difference.

Lean on your teammates

Team-based games make up the majority of the Brawl Stars experience, and as such, you're going to have to learn how to coexist with other players. Don't try to go it alone in a team-based matchup, as all you're doing is setting yourself up to fail. This sounds obvious, but it bears repeating: Your teammates are there to help; let them help you!
