Brawl Stars character guide - Lumi

There are a lot of characters in Brawl Stars, and each one possesses fun and unique weapons to try and a personality to match. Lumi is one such character, as the fire in her attacks is only matched by her fast movements. This guide will take you through everything you need to know about Lumi, from attacks to loadouts and the best ways to use her in the arena.

Lumi is a Mythic-rarity Brawler wielding two large maces called morning stars, one in each hand. She is a Damage Dealer, and thrives in matches where you have to eliminate other Brawlers. Per her in-game biography, Lumi is a "passionate metalhead and talented drummer" who can control both fire and ice with her attacks. Her elemental prowess reflects "her shy nature and burning passion for music."

Lumi's basic attack focuses on dueling with the morning stars she carries with her. The attack, called Good Morning … Star, has her throw one of her maces toward an opponent. Attacking again will send the other weapon out, while attacking a third time will summon them both back to Lumi's hands, dealing even more damage on the way back.

Her Super Blast Beat, when activated, has Lumi pound the ground three times with her morning stars, causing big explosions that deal area-of-effect damage. If she can connect with the final explosion, the hit opponent will freeze in place for a brief moment.

Lumi's Gadgets each focus on one of the two elements she specializes in: fire and ice. Hit The Lights sets her weapons on fire, shooting flames and dealing damage over time when activated. The second Gadget, Grim and Frostbitten, creates cold winds around her morning stars, freezing the ground around them and dealing slight damage at the same time.

Both Star Powers available to Lumi offer some additional utility to her attacks. 42% Burnt ignites the ground under each explosion of Blast Beat, damaging any opponents standing near them, while Half-time slows down any opponents hit by a morning star as it travels back to Lumi's hands. Her Hypercharge, Drum Solo, adds an extra explosion to her Super.

Lumi is an interesting Brawler. She wants to be on the attack as quickly as possible and pressure opponents into making a mistake, but none of her arsenal is designed for close-range combat. Instead, she deals damage from a distance as she flings her morning stars around the map.

Precise throws when using Good Morning… Star will maximize how much hurt Lumi can put on, while Blast Beat can finish the job with ease. You can make that job even easier with her Star Powers, as they add a devastating element to your attacks.
