Connect with some of our favorite characters who are bringing LGBTQ+ representation to the forefront. Although these games range in genre from heartwarming visual novels to reflex-testing boss battles, they all feature compelling, relatable characters. The heroes in these games defy stereotypes, overcome challenges, and draw you in as you play.

This lighthearted visual novel cycles through the perspectives of four Asian American teen girls as they navigate high school, baseball, and their growing feelings for each other. Get to know each girl’s distinct personality, struggles, and triumphs thanks to the game’s smart writing and interactive choices that move the story along.

Each choice matters in this visual novel about 19-year-old Haru, a Japanese trans woman invited to her friend’s birthday at a hot springs resort. Haru is kind and considerate, but it’s up to you to decide if her anxiety or courage wins out. There are multiple endings depending on the options you choose, but each one illustrates the reality of the trans experience.

Time is both a character and a tool in this metaphysical love story. As Time, you can rewind and fast-forward the story as you try to make your way back to your lost love, Space, after getting pulled in by Null, a manifestation of darkness. But Time, Space, and Null are more than they seem, and their emotional connection is what makes this space fantasy so engaging.

This unique hybrid of a rhythm game and endless shooter combines action-packed gameplay with a character-driven story. Grace and Sera must balance their romantic relationship, performing with their bandmates, and battling evil Noise Beasts. The four main characters’ supportive sisterhood shines through, even when the levels get tougher.

Anna and Sophie, the snarky witch couple at the heart of this demon-hunting adventure, are so obviously in love it’s hard not to root for them. When they’re not cracking jokes or combining their powers against a stream of lightning-fast enemies, they’re facing relatable struggles of trying to find their place in the world.
