All about armor vests in PUBG Mobile

In every PUBG Mobile match, there are some essential pieces of equipment that you should seek out as soon as possible. Some are obvious, like guns, ammo, and health items, but others might follow some rules or mechanics you've never seen before. One of the most important pieces of gear for you is armor vests.
We’ll run down what makes armor such an important piece of the PUBG Mobile puzzle—from the different levels of armor and their stats-–to the basics of how armor works throughout the game. With this guide, you'll know everything there is to know about the different vests and how you can equip yourself accordingly.
Armor can be found scattered throughout the map as a battle royale match plays out, and can be equipped in any order in which you find them. For example, if you stumble upon a Level 3 Military Vest as soon as you enter your first building, then consider yourself lucky and enjoy that nice armor advantage for the duration of the match.
Three types of vests
  • Police Vest (Level 1) This vest offers 200 durability, takes up 70 points worth of storage space, and reduces damage taken by 30 percent.
  • Police Vest (Level 2) This vest offers 220 durability, takes up 70 points worth of storage space, and reduces damage taken by 40 percent.
  • Military Vest (Level 3) This vest offers 250 durability, takes up 70 points worth of storage space, and reduces damage taken by 55 percent.
Durability acts as its own separate "life bar," slowly reducing as the vest is damaged in skirmishes. However, note that vests do not prevent all damage while they're active, only some of the damage. If you're low on HP and an enemy finds you, not even body armor will save you from an ambush.

Damaged vests

If you encounter enemy players while wearing a vest, you'll notice that the box containing the armor will slowly turn red on your inventory screen. This is an indication of how damaged your armor is–how many armor points it has left–and also how close you are to losing your protection.
However, this is not an immediate death sentence; just as armor can be worn in any order, you can unequip armor at any time in order to switch to a fresh vest if need be.
Sometimes the new vest will replace your current one automatically–like when you're wearing a Level 2 Police Vest and you find a Level 3 Military Vest–but other times you'll have to manually pick up the new vest. Be sure you actually equip the new vest when you find one, or else you're going to feel pretty foolish running into a match with no armor.
