Make the most of events in Candy Crush Saga

Candy Crush Saga has hundreds of stages, but it also has unique events to further liven up the experience. Events are limited-time happenings that put an extra spin on the typical match-3 format, and can sometimes pay out major rewards.

Events take the normal Candy Crush gameplay and modify it in some way to fit a broader theme. This often works by interspersing themed colorful candies onto the board. These might be hearts, puzzle pieces, or even movie clapboards. The aim of the event is usually to collect as many of these special pieces as you can during standard gameplay.

Events are happening all the time in Candy Crush Saga, but only during fixed dates. This means an event you've made progress in may not be available when you next log in. Keeping track of how long events last can help you maximize your success. You can normally find all of the information you need in the Events tab at the bottom of the main menu screen.

The most common prizes in events are usually power-ups, but you can also earn gold bars (the premium currency of Candy Crush Saga) if you place highly enough.

Events that have a shared theme over a specific period of time are grouped into Seasons. You can find details on the current Season in the Events tab, as well as the tasks needed to earn even more rewards through the "Season Mastery" ranks.
