Pick the best Brawler for you in Brawl Stars

Part of the Brawl Stars experience is finding that one special Brawler who you're most comfortable with. You'll unlock plenty of options, but finding the best one for your style of gameplay can be tough. Fortunately, we can help, as we've compiled a list of the best Brawler to focus on in the early stages of the game.
Brawlers range from damage dealers to support, in-your-face fighters to long-range specialists, and everything in between. Unlocking a suited Brawler in the early stages of your Brawl Stars run will be hugely beneficial, as they're all easy to learn and easy to drop into battle. You can't go wrong with any of the names on this list, so let’s start.

Shelly (Damage Dealer)

Shelly is the first character you’ll unlock upon entering the game, and is tailor made for all beginners. She's a straightforward gunslinger, as she wields a shotgun with three rounds in the chamber at a time, and thrives in close-to-mid range fights. She has attacking, defending, and healing characteristics. No frills, no gimmicks, just brawling; that's what makes Shelly the best beginner Brawler.

El Primo (Tank)

The Luchador wrestler El Primo follows a simple game plan: Get as close to his opponents as possible, and hit them until he wins. Primo doesn't use a weapon, content to let his fists do the talking. He has the second-highest health of any Brawler, a high damage output, and great mobility. He has a short attack range, so you need to maneuver him into dodging enemy fire for long range rivals.

Poco (Support)

The tiny mariachi Poco is one of the cutest Brawlers on your roster, but don't let that cheery facade fool you. He can be nasty. His ranged attacks deal low damage, but their range allows him to connect before an enemy can approach. He heals himself and his allies over time even while getting hit. If you want health support while you battle, Poco is perfect for you.

Brock (Marksman)

Brock is a long-range player's dream. His rocket launcher packs a wallop, and is easy to wield, teaching you how aiming and timing are crucial to victory. His Super can take out multiple enemies at once with no trouble, but take care because he has low health. If you want to stay away from the fight but still win, go for Brock.

Nita (Damage Dealer)

Nita dresses and sounds like a big grizzly bear. She can deal a lot of damage quickly and can summon a larger and scarier bear – Bruce – with her Super. Her high health and shockwaves are good enough, but the fact that Nita can add an extra body to the board makes her a good early choice for you.
