Every map in PUBG explained

PUBG Mobile offers a fantastic battle royale action right in the palm of your hands, but it's not just the looting and shooting that makes it so good. Thanks to its varied assortment of maps, you have plenty of places to explore and find the best loot.
This is a list of the seven main maps used in PUBG battle royale. Each one offers diverse locations, obstacles, vehicles and more. Learning everything you can about each of them will be key to getting a leg up on your opponents and becoming a PUBG Mobile kingpin.

Erangel

This original PUBG map is still one of the best maps in battle royale history. It contains many different locations, from the giant military base in the south to the centrally located Rozhok, prisons, power plant and more. This is the map you drop onto when you want the original battle royale experience, as it pioneered everything else on the market today.

Sanhok

Sanhok is based on the tropical islands of Thailand and the Philippines. It has three sections separated by a massive river that runs through the entire western half of the map. Its rivers wreak havoc on players trying to get to the safe zone on the other side, so keep that in mind when playing here.

Livik

Inspired by Northern Europe, Livik is perhaps the most densely constructed map in PUBG Mobile as it's only 2 km x 2 km in size yet packs multiple big city locations. Midstein in the centre, Iceborg to the northeast and Power Plant to the southwest are all prime hotspot locations. The northwestern corner of the map holds a few smaller locales as quieter landing spots with just as much loot.

Nusa

Nusa is the smallest PUBG Mobile map, clocking in at a measly 1 km x 1 km size. This means that matches here are decided faster than other maps. The safe zone shrinks nearly 70 percent faster here than on other maps, and each landing will likely be a hot zone no matter where you choose. If you want a quick in-and-out battle royale match, Nusa is the place to drop.

Vikendi

This snowy and mountainous map is one of the largest maps in the game at 6 km x 6 km size, and there are a few key locations to consider when dropping in. The Train Station near the centre of the map is quite busy, but Observatory, Lumber Yard and Deka Mesto also provide a tonne of loot and attract other players right from the jump. Keep an eye out if you land in these locations.

Miramar

Miramar serves as PUBG Mobile's barren desert, coming in at 4 km x 4 km in size. Most of Miramar's action takes place to the south, where Prison, Partona and Resort provide ample loot in close proximity to one another. Some northern locations like Oasis and Campo Militar are ripe with loot, so keep those in your mind if the plane is headed there during a future match.

Karakin

Karakin is another desert-style map but with one twist: it's one-quarter the size of Miramar. As such, players will quickly be bunched together during matches here, so select a few desired locations before dropping as you won't have much time to think. Try Bashara to the west or Bahr Sahir on the northwestern coast, as they'll have places to hunker down after you find your first weapon.
