How to customise your settings in PUBG Mobile

PUBG Mobile has an expansive settings menu. Whether you're a veteran or a new player you should spend some time looking through these, as they offer different ways to adjust PUBG Mobile to make it feel as good as possible. You can adjust everything: from the colour of your targeting reticule to how much gear your player picks up automatically. Here's how to customise all your settings in PUBG Mobile.

Find the Settings menu

There's a lot going on when you get to the start screen in PUBG Mobile, from connecting with friends to adjusting your character's look. To find the Settings menu, click the small gear icon on the corner of your screen. That pulls up a menu with a number of different categories.

Start with controls

A key part of PUBG Mobile gameplay, especially over lots of play sessions, is how it controls. In the Controls menu you can adjust which buttons appear on your screen, whether your guns fire when you tap a button or release it, and things like whether you can toggle the scope for a gun or need to hold down the scope button to make it appear.
Make sure that all your controls feel comfortable so that when you're in the heat of battle, you don't have to think about them.

Don't forget advanced controls

At the top of some Settings menus, you'll see extra tabs. In the Controls menu, there's a tab for Basic controls and Advanced controls. The Advanced menu includes a lot more settings that you can adjust, like whether you open doors automatically, how far you need to move the left control stick to activate sprinting, whether you use your device's gyroscope for aiming and lots more.

Adjust your button layouts

Along with changing how your controls work, you can also adjust where buttons appear on your screen. Spend some time on this to increase your success in PUBG Mobile. Move buttons on your screen so that they're more comfortable and waiting where you expect them. There's nothing worse than trying to shoot an opponent and hitting the wrong button accidentally.
Since your thumbs can block part of the screen as you play, moving buttons to where they feel good for you can also help you see the action better. Experiment with the best configuration for you; you can save multiple layouts so that you can switch between them quickly.

Try different sensitivities

The last control setting that you should spend some time playing with is sensitivity. In PUBG Mobile, quick reaction times can be essential to defeating an opposing player, but having your control sensitivity too low can cause you to react too slowly, and too high can cause you to miss shots. Find the setting that works best for you and you'll win more fights.

Choose when you automatically pick up gear

Pickups in PUBG Mobile are automatic by default, which means that you automatically grab guns, attachments and health items when you run over them. This can be really handy in most cases so that you don't have to tap a lot of buttons, but it can also hamper you by causing you to pick up things that you don't want, clogging up your inventory.
The Pickups menu lets you adjust what items you pick up automatically, and you can even adjust how many of certain items you pick up, like med kits or grenades. So, you automatically pick up what you want before your inventory is considered full up on those items.

Pick your graphics settings

Your graphics settings have a definite but subtle impact on your experience in PUBG Mobile. Higher graphics settings can give you a sharper image that helps you spot opponents more easily, especially from far away, but they can also strain your device and affect your game's performance.
In the graphics settings screen you can adjust how your game looks so that you can get the right balance of image quality and performance. You can even make changes here for colour blindness here, if you need it.
