PUBG Mobile: Equipment explained

Guns and ammo aren't the only things you'll find during a game of PUBG Mobile. You'll also discover special equipment to boost key stats and give you an advantage as a match progresses.
Here, we'll go over the three main types of equipment in PUBG Mobile: Helmets, Backpacks and Vests. We'll explain how they work and what each type adds to your character so you can be confident in your loadout before the final showdown.

Helmets

Helmets increase your character's armour points and reduce damage taken from enemy fire. There are three different helmet types scattered throughout PUBG Mobile: the Motorcycle Helmet, which adds 80 armour points and reduces damage by 30%; the Military Helmet, which adds 150 armour points and reduces damage by 40%; and the Spetsnaz Helmet which adds a whopping 230 armour points and reduces damage by 55%.

Backpacks

Just like in real life, there's only so much you can carry in your pockets. Backpacks alleviate this, as they add more inventory space for you to store what you find lying around, such as guns, ammo and more. Backpacks come in one of three sizes: Level 1, which increases capacity to 170 points; Level 2, which increases capacity to 220 points; and Level 3, which increases capacity to a maximum of 270 points.

Vests

Just like helmets, vests offer a buff to armour points and reduce the damage that you take from enemy fire, but they offer slightly more armour points than their cranial counterpart.
The different types of vests that you'll find are: Police Vest (level 1), which adds 200 armour points and reduces damage by 30%; Police Vest (level 2), which adds 220 armour points and and reduces damage by 40%; and the Military Vest, which adds 250 armour points and and reduces damage by 55%.

Other equipment to know about

Alongside the three main types of equipment, there are also a few other items worth mentioning if you want to make the most of your time in PUBG Mobile.
Bandages and First-Aid Kits are important healing items that you'll want to carry. Things like energy drinks and painkillers are called Boosts and it increases your health regeneration, movement speed and more. Attachments take the form of weapon scopes, sights and extended magazines to bolster your firepower. And once in a while you'll find a full Ghillie Suit, which offers you camouflage in grassy areas.
