Dress To Impress is a fashion-focused game where players try to win votes for their outfit. Your outfits must follow the core theme if you want to score a place on the podium. A winter theme, for example, might mean that you look for long sleeves, puffy coats and the colour white, while for a summertime theme, you should go for dresses, swimwear and sandals.

The game contains two separate modes. Style Showdown is the main competitive mode where you have around five minutes to put a themed outfit together, while the Free Play mode is where you can mix and match outfits at your leisure, with no time constraints or competition.

At the start of each session in Style Showdown mode, you’ll walk around a massive boutique looking for the right outfit to match the chosen theme. You'll find clothes, shoes, accessories and anything that you may want all around the area. You can choose up to 18 different items to wear for each outfit.

Once you've selected your fit, you can go to the salon next door to choose a matching hairstyle, nail colour and make-up to complement your clothes. Once time runs out, it's time for the judging, and each player in the session shows off what they chose. Whoever gets the most stars wins.

While you may want to jump right in and build the best outfit that you can right from the get-go, that may not get you a podium finish. Take the first few sessions to learn the lay of the land in the boutique and salon area in the Free Play mode. It's easy to forget where things are or how they're organised in the game, so make a mental note of where to find certain items to save time later.
