How to create and customise your Roblox avatar

Before you start playing games and enjoying experiences on Roblox, there are a few things that you may want to attend to on your profile. While the default avatar that the game provides is okay to start, you’ll probably want to personalise it to fit your style. Here's how you can make it happen.
This guide will show you everything that you need to know about customising your Roblox avatar, including how to navigate to the customisation page and what to do once you get there.

Finding the Roblox customisation menu

The easiest way to edit your avatar is to select 'Avatar' from the bottom menu of the mobile app. However, you can also tap on the face next to your username at the top of the main menu screen. Doing so will pop up a menu with your avatar standing at the top.
Tap 'Edit profile' at the bottom of the pop-up menu, which will take you to another menu where you can edit your username. From there, tap on your avatar's face to get to the Avatar Marketplace – where you can purchase new items for your character – and Customise menu.

Customising your Roblox avatar

As soon as you are in the Customise menu, all of the items that you currently own for your avatar will be displayed on the bottom half of the screen. There are a lot of customisation options, from the look of your character's face and the hair on their head to the clothes that they wear and even the way they walk.
We're going to break down each customisation category below, but for each one, simply tap on any of the options at the top of the menu to select an item that you own to add to your avatar. If you wish to purchase items using Robux, either scroll down to see a few suggested options or head back to the Marketplace tab and search for the items that you want.

Roblox customisation options

Here’s a list of the many things that you can customise on your Roblox avatar, grouped by how that category appears on the Customise screen in the Avatar Marketplace. If there's a particular item that you've just received and you want to put it on immediately, this will help you find the section that you're looking for.
