Get to know Hayato in Free Fire

Each character in Free Fire has a unique ability at their disposal, and in some cases, an entirely different form to help you achieve your victory.

One example is Hayato, a longtime member and heir of the Yagami Corporation. He is no ordinary businessman, however, as he has a potent ability that can turn the tide in your favor when you need it the most.

Hayato is the heir apparent to the Yagami Corporation. According to his official in-game biography, "his existence was meant to serve the honor and glory of his family". He has always acted with the Yagamis in mind.

When Horizon purchased Yagami Corporation, and Hayato's corporate standing with it, he saw it as an opportunity to ensure that the Yagamis acted with honor even with new owners.

Hayato's special ability is called Bushido, and it will appeal to you if you have defensive strategies in mind. It is a passive skill that automatically increases Hayato's armor penetration based on how much HP he currently has. The lower the HP, the higher his armor penetration stats.

This is an example of a "comeback mechanic", – a feature that helps you pull up your rankings when you're falling behind. More damage to an enemy's armor means getting through their defenses faster, which can snatch an elimination from an aggressor with little notice or provocation.

Hayato will serve you best in a solo match, as taking damage only enhances his ability to deal that damage back to his enemies via enhanced armor penetration. That being said, his hit points work the same as every other member of the roster, so keep that in mind in order to stay alive. Keep other characters in mind while drafting your team and strategy.

When building a preset, consider A124's ability to turn off every nearby enemy's abilities, as it will take away some of the scarier elements of the battle royale battle ground. Other abilities that are worth trying out with Hayato are Kelly's fast movement, Andrew's increased armor durability, and Dasha's damage reduction.
