How to get more lives in Candy Crush Saga

It happens to the best of us; you're trying to get through a tough Candy Crush Saga level, but suddenly find you’re out of lives. What do you do?

Thankfully there are multiple ways to add lives back to your total once you run out, so you can keep going on your Candy Crush quest without any more issues.

The simplest way to gain more lives is to purchase them with Gold Bars right from the main screen. Just tap the life counter on the top, choose how many lives you want to buy, and make the purchase. If you're out of Gold Bars, you can purchase those in the in-game shop, though that does require you to open your real-world wallet in order to do so.

If you know you're going to have a lot of free time to play Candy Crush, you might consider purchasing a bundle with an Infinite Lives booster in it. This booster, as the name suggests, gives you unlimited lives for a certain amount of time – usually two hours or so. While this booster can be purchased in the in-game shop, it can occasionally be earned through normal gameplay.

Friends can send each other lives, which the recipient can then redeem for more chances to crush candies. You can only obtain so many lives from friends per day – so while you can depend on your friends for a little while, you're not going to be able to solely rely on them. Careful budgeting of how many lives are accepted at a time is key to maximizing this perk.

When all else fails, you'll have to wait it out. Lives replenish every two hours, so you'll need to find something to occupy yourself while you wait. Patience will work in your favor, so if there's no other option, just keep an eye on the clock.
