The best upgrades to focus on in Township

As your Township grows, you're going to have a lot of different tasks to balance, whether you're producing feed for the livestock, food for the town or all other types of materials. Your Township will eventually need to be upgraded, and there are several ways to get the most out of those upgrades immediately.
Here, we'll share the best ways to upgrade your Township, so that not only will you be able to produce massive amounts of whatever you need when you need it, but you'll be able to gain extra XP, gold and money on top of it. The more resources you earn, the more buildings you'll have access to, meaning the more upgrades you'll be able to pursue, and the cycle continues.

Experience first

When you unlock the Academy of Industry for the first time, you'll be given the option to upgrade most of the buildings that you've constructed so far, using ingots made of ore found in the mines. When you decide to upgrade one of those buildings, you'll have a choice to make regarding what specific aspect of that building that you wish to improve.
You should upgrade each building's capacity for XP as fast as possible, as levelling up will give you access to other parts of the game, which can then create the gold that you would have got by upgrading gold production. The time and extra shelf upgrades are good too, but experience is the best place to start upgrading.

Extra shelves

You can also add extra product slots to each of your factories without needing to wait for the Academy of Industry. It will take some T-Cash, which you earn either through completing tasks around the town or purchasing it with real-world money.
The most important places to max out production lines are the Feed Mill, which will allow you to get more milk, eggs and wool from the cows, chickens and sheep, and the textile factory, as cotton fabric and yarn show up frequently in the helicopter tasks. Eventually, you'll want to expand all of your factories, but those are the best places to start.

Planes, trains and automobiles

Similarly to how you add production boxes to factories, the train station allows you to unlock additional tracks through levelling up. Doing this is a great idea if you can manage it, because the supplies that you receive from those trains are essential to your Township.
Trains mostly bring back building materials – things like paint, nails, glass and slabs. These are needed to complete construction on some buildings and upgrade others, so having access to as many of these items as possible will be a huge benefit to your town in the long run. Maximise those train routes as soon as you can!

Market day

The final T-Cash upgrade that you'll want to prioritise is the City Market, where you can add more bays for purchasing items. While you can never control what items the market will have at any given time, maximising the potential of finding something that you need is never a bad idea.
Once you reach the full four bays, keep going back to the market often to check on its wares. If you don't like what's available, you can always refresh with T-Cash, and the more bays you've unlocked, the better your chances of finding the items you were looking for in the first place.
