Level up photo and video editing with Canva

Your handy creative sidekick just got better with new features that make creating stunning visuals a breeze. With enhanced AI capabilities for both photo and video editing, Canva is ready to help you get your creativity flowing.

Whether you’re creating an event t-shirt or a digital newsletter, you can preview your designs in the real world with Mockups. In the design interface, scroll through the toolbar and tap “Apps.” Then, tap “Mockups” and select a template that showcases your design on apparel, product packaging, or other items. Drag and drop your design into the template to automatically integrate it into the image.

With Blend, it’s now easier than ever to combine elements you like from two images into a single graphic. On a page, layer your images together in the position you want them to merge. Tap one of the images to access the toolbar, tap “Effects”, and then “Apps”. After tapping Blend, select your second image and then tap Blend images. From here, Blend will generate options for your combined photo.

Brand new video-editing features Auto-trim and Highlights take the fuss out of video projects by leaving only the footage you need. Import your video to Canva and add the file to your page, and then tap to select it as an element. Tap the scissors icon on your toolbar to pull up the new tools.

Tap "Auto-trim" to let AI automatically detect dead air at the beginning and end of your video, like the lull when you’re setting up or the pause before you stop recording. This leaves you with just your main content, so you can select the best clips later on. You could also press and drag the start or end of the selection before tapping out of the Auto-trim menu to edit excess footage out.

Tap the Highlights button to let AI scan your video for the best sequences. Once it’s done scanning, Highlights will select and label standout clips, making it easier for you to find the moments you need. From here you can select the clips you want to keep and tap “Add” to place the best video moments in your project automatically, without the need to cut clips one by one.

Now that your video is all cleaned up, you can make it sound better, too. Get crystal clear audio by tapping to select the video element on your page. On the toolbar, tap “Audio” and toggle “Enhance voice.” This automatically cleans up your sound and removes unwanted background noise, so you can make your project sound as good as it looks.
