The ranking system in Mobile Legends works like any other online game: by playing Ranked matches, earning experience points, and leveling up your rank as you play more. However, despite the common structure, you should note a few things about how Mobile Legends’ Ranked mode differs from others.

For starters, each rank has multiple tiers, and you have to earn a certain number of Stars in order to progress to the next rank. For example, each tier in the lower Warrior rank requires three stars to progress, while the Elite rank needs four stars to get to the next tier.

This star structure may sound like it will be very difficult for you to progress in the game, but it won't take terribly long to make the journey. You can reach Elite III status – which means you can pass through Warrior III, Warrior II, and Warrior I – in less than 10 full matches, as long as you perform well.

As the name indicates, Master is the rank where you start mastering the game even further. Team coordination and map awareness are very important if you want to progress through this rank.

You’ll definitely have to step up your game if you want to progress through this rank. Here, you will meet players that are proficient in the game’s mechanics, and will make it a real challenge for you to win any matches.

This tier unlocks Draft Pick play, where teams draft and ban heroes from each match. Objectives like turrets, Lord, and Turtle become more important than ever in this level, and you have to focus on strategy, hero build, and teamwork to progress through here.

Reaching the rank of Legend shows that you’ve attained a certain level of mastery over the game.
