All about Finx in Brawl Stars

Brawl Stars offers a massive roster of Brawlers to choose from. With such overwhelming choices right out of the gate, you may find it hard to narrow down your options. If you prefer to stay on the fringes and attack only when the time is right, then Finx is great for you. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about Finx, including his attacks, abilities, and strategy ideas.

Who is Finx?

Finx is a Mythic Brawler with an affinity for Egyptian history. He wears a makeshift Anubis mask over his face, while also wielding a magical scepter. He owns Starr Park's escape room, and is supposed to be helping visitors complete their tasks. However, thanks to a mischievous streak, he spends more time thwarting the would-be escapees than he does helping them.

Finx's attacks

Finx's basic attack, Chronocast, allows him to fire three long-range parallel projectiles at once. The outer projectiles in the formation deal half as much damage as the center projectile, so make sure you aim with that center portion of the attack in mind.
For his Super, Finx uses Time Warp to create a time-altering area of effect on the ground around him. Enemies caught in the area will have their projectile attacks slowed down, while allies will see increased projectile speed. Finx himself also receives a damage boost while in the area.

Finx's build options

Finx has two options for both Gadgets and Star Powers. His first Gadget, Back to the Finxture, warps him backward three seconds in time – returning him to the exact spot (and ammunition stock) he was in three seconds prior. His second Gadget, No Escape, gives the center projectile of his main attack the ability to freeze an enemy in place for two seconds.
Both of his Star Powers can also have a big effect on a battle, but in completely different ways. Hieroglyph Halt reduces the reload speed of every enemy hit by Chronocast by 30% for three seconds, while Primer extends the length of the Time Warp super by 0.25 seconds every time an opponent is hit with a projectile from Finx that's been sped up in his Time Warp.

Best Finx strategies

Finx is a strange character, with a lot of unique abilities and traits that make him hard to plan around. With him in the game, you’ll want to stay away from big skirmishes, peppering enemies with Chronocast as much as possible, and that makes Hieroglyph Halt a very potent Star Power in attack-focused strategies.
Once his Super is charged though, you can turn to offense. The buff to Finx's power, along with the speed boost to projectiles, will turn him into a powerhouse for as long as the warp is active. Be sure to have an escape route; if you get stuck, it won't end well for you.
