How to play as Angelo in Brawl Stars

While some members of the eclectic cast of Brawl Stars look a lot like ordinary people, others are a bit more wacky. The humanoid mosquito, Angelo, is definitely one of the more unique Brawlers in the bunch.
With green skin and a single antenna sticking out of his head, Angelo rises above other Brawlers – often literally, since his massive wings allow him to fly over the map. Here’s everything you need to know about this buzzy Brawler.

Who is Angelo?

Angelo is a human-mosquito hybrid in the Love Swamp section of the Brawl Stars world. He wields a bow-and-arrow, much like Cupid, and can strike enemies from very long distances with a well-timed shot.
This lovestruck lothario can be seen "buzzing around the canals looking for lovebirds to dazzle with his irresistible charm." Sometimes, however, his targets resist his charms… and those people "require a little extra, pointy incentive."

Angelo's attacks

Angelo's standard attack, Take Aim, is one of the more interesting attacks in all of Brawl Stars. Instead of three ammo blocks that need to be recharged, Angelo has one long meter that charges up before each time he fires. Think of it as drawing a bow – the longer you charge, the farther your attack will travel.
His Super, Welcome To The Swamp, supports this long-range approach well. It creates a poison cloud that surrounds you for eight seconds, damaging any enemies that venture into it. Furthermore, while Angelo is in the cloud, your Take Aim attacks become poisoned arrows, which deal extra damage over time.

Angelo's build options

Angelo's Gadgets are vastly different from one another, with one focused on flight and the other on arrow strength. Stinging Flight allows you to fly for a full second while inflicting damage on liftoff, while Master Fletcher allows the arrows in your Take Aim attack to pass through certain objects.
In addition, his Star Power effects use situational awareness to buff certain stats. Empower grants you healing properties as long as you remain inside the poison cloud of Welcome To The Swamp. Flow, on the other hand, complements Angelo’s Trait by increasing your speed when flying over water.
Finally, Angelo’s Hypercharge buff, In My Element, makes the Welcome To The Swamp poison cloud follow you around after deployment, ensuring you’re always within the cloud's confines. Pair this with Empower, and you’ll be able to heal yourself and deal poison damage, all while on the move.

Best Angelo strategies

Angelo is a tough Brawler to master, simply because of how different his attack pattern is to the rest of the Brawl Stars cast. Charging up the Take Aim arrow takes time, and lining up the perfect shot isn't always easy in a hectic Showdown match.
If you bring Angelo into battle, you may want to stay back from the frontlines and launch precise attacks with care. Otherwise, your opponents will simply outgun you, and you'll have to take a trip back to the main menu. But with some strategic timing, you can combine his abilities to become an unstoppable force.
