Hot Tip: Build an avatar on Instagram

Get the best of both worlds with the option to use an IRL photo or a digital avatar on Instagram for personalized stickers, stories, and more. Just head to your profile tab and then tap “Edit Profile,” and then “Edit picture or avatar” > “Create avatar” to get started. From here, you’ll have the option to make your own avatar yourself or from a picture.

Choose from a wide range of body types, hair styles, and outfits – you can mix and match styles to best fit your real-world aesthetic, or get creative and build an avatar that represents how you’d reimagine yourself. Once you’re happy with your avatar, tap Save.
