Your guide to all the maps in Free Fire

As a new player, mastering all the maps quickly is crucial for your success in Free Fire. Once you are familiar with all the maps, you can start building your strategy and outsmart your enemy.
Garena Free Fire offers six map options – five unique and one remastered – and you can decide which one you want to fight on. Each battleground offers a different look, unique locations, loot zones and strategic points that make them stand out. Use this guide to decide which map you want to check out next.

Bermuda (and Bermuda Remastered)

Bermuda is the map that started it all, and it's the first map you'll drop onto. It’s a forest-themed map with locations from all over the world. You can train and hone your skills there before moving on to more difficult terrains.
Cape Town and Mars Electric are popular landing spots, while Observatory, Graveyard, and Mill offer a solid selection of loot. Bermuda Remastered makes a few changes – mainly with locations – but both offer that core Free Fire experience that's been the foundation of the game since it launched.

Alpine

Alpine is located in a snow-capped mountain region, and features snowy arenas and hills throughout its over 16 locations. Militia, Stadium, and Snowfall feature multiple buildings stuffed with loot, but if you prefer to land somewhere quiet, Blue Ville and Ocean View are the places for you. No matter where you land, there are plenty of highways to get around on should you find a vehicle.

Purgatory

Purgatory is highlighted by vast fields of green grass and trees, especially in places like the fields south of the Moathouse. It has a countryside vibe and provides spacious battle areas. Its biggest landmark is the massive river running through the southwest corner, isolating the Golf Course and Mt. Vilia. Be wary of where the circle is closing, and if that river is in your way, find a boat fast.

Kalahari

Immediately recognizable by its sandy appearance, Kalahari is Free Fire's take on a vast desert. It's more flat compared to other maps in the game. With multiple open areas lined by buildings and rocks, Kalahari is a sniper's paradise. Refinery in the center of the map is commonly a hotbed for activity, but Santa Catarina, Confinement, and Old Hampton are also solid landing choices.

Nexterra

Nexterra is the most recent map in Free Fire. Its terrain is a combination of high-tech fighting pits and muddy ruins. Its focus on futuristic environments and tech makes it a fun and unique experience. Grav Labs, Deca Square, and Museum are all notable spots, but if a match is ending at the Intellect Center, be prepared for a slugfest thanks to the moat surrounding it in the south.
