All the different modes in PUBG Mobile

PUBG Mobile may be best known as a battle royale game, but there are many other modes to try if you want a change of pace from last person standing. We've grouped all of the major game modes included in PUBG Mobile below in one easy-to-use list, along with screens of the menus so you know exactly what to look for the next time you play the game.

Classic battle royale mode

The Classic section of the menu is where you’ll find the standard 100-player battle royale matches, which can be played in solo, duo, or squad queues. The only major choice in Classic is which map you want to drop onto; PUBG Mobile currently offers four different maps, each packed with places to explore and new items to find.

Arena game modes

The Arena section of the menu caters more toward the traditional multiplayer shooter fan. For example, Team Deathmatch is your typical competitive matchup while Ultimate Arena has multiple rounds with loadout changes between each one. One of the more unique modes is Gun Game, where your weapons are upgraded with each elimination until one team scores a kill with the final weapon: The frying pan.

Ranked

If you're new to PUBG Mobile, we don’t recommend jumping into Ranked mode straight away, since it’s the battleground for more experienced players. That said, it’s essentially the same as the Classic menu, but with a few more maps that are out of the rotation as of this writing. If Vikandi, Sanhok, or Karakin are maps you want to check out, Ranked mode is the place to do it.

World of Wonder

The aptly named World of Wonder is great if you’re in the mood for something unique, Known as WOW, it’s PUBG Mobile's "creative" mode, where players can design their own gameplay experiences and release them to the world. A few minutes of exploration might turn up a fun new mode that surprises you, so make time to check out its offerings – or maybe even create one yourself.

Other ways to play

The Other tab on the selection menu is where you’ll find additional game modes that don't quite fit with the rest of the group. One example is Payload, which supplies players with tanks. Another, Quick Match, whittles the entire PUBG Mobile experience into a bite-sized eight-minute affair. This menu is refreshed regularly with seasonal options, so check back often for a standout experience.
