How to build your squad in Last War: Survival Game

Players often associate Last War: Survival Game with a horde of zombies quickly approaching while a single soldier shoots barrels and screens. While this is a big part of the game, there's also a squad-based element that requires more focus on strategy than brute force.
With this guide, you'll be able to jump into a squad-based mission with the best formations available. Every player will be different, of course, but these core tips will make your squad more effective as they blast zombies into oblivion. Keep these in mind as you play, and you'll be saving the world one mission at a time.

Proper formation is key

Hero units in Last War: Survival Game fall within three classes: defense, attack, and support. These distinctions are based on the hero's abilities and stats, and each one can be found when looking at a hero's status screen.
When building a squad, you should put defense heroes in the front line, with the other two types in the back. Defense heroes are damage sponges, and will keep the heat off of your less sturdy attack and support units. With the enemy's focus elsewhere, attackers and supporters can deal tons of damage and keep the team healed with little issue.

Unit type matters too

In addition to one of the three classes mentioned above, each hero also holds a specific unit type. Unit types focus on the vehicle or weapon the hero is commanding, either a tank, attack helicopter, or a missile vehicle.
Matching multiple unit types together can make your entire team stronger. For example, having five of the same vehicle, say a Tank, will give your whole team a 20 percent damage boost. That alone can get you through some tough stages, but there are other perks to explore, so feel free to experiment with your squad as you wish.

Supplement with soldiers

Before entering a battle with your squad, you can assign foot soldiers to support the group in the upcoming battle. The more units you assign to the group, the higher the perks will be, so be sure to maximize these assignments whenever possible.
Soldiers don't just provide attack power either. In a PvP match, soldiers can also load resources and bring them back to your base camp. The more soldiers you provide, the more resources you'll obtain. A group of soldiers can make a big difference, so keep them in mind before you battle.

Bring your strongest

This one seems the most obvious, and it should go without mentioning, but don’t forget to bring your strongest heroes on difficult missions. You've spent all this time leveling them up for a reason, so don't leave them sitting on the bench.
Your strongest hero squad might not fit in the kind of formation we suggested earlier. For instance, you may only have one defense hero among your best, which may force an attack hero into your front line. While you should focus on upgrading another defense hero, if the attack hero is powerful enough, it may not matter in the long run.
