All about heroes in Whiteout Survival

While the major goal of Whiteout Survival is battling the harsh frozen wastelands in order to keep your fledgling city alive, you won't just be working in a city sim. Sometimes, you have to go out into the wilderness to find what you need – and that's where the heroes come in.

Heroes are specialized units that defend your settlement alongside generic troops. Each hero has a specific classification and a special set of abilities that can help you while exploring and battling enemies in the frozen tundra. Here’s everything you need to know about heroes in Whiteout Survival.

You will start to recruit and assemble your team of heroes as you build your city. Some heroes are unlocked as the story progresses – Bahiti, for example, appears after your central Furnace reaches a certain level – while others are recruited using Keys found during the adventure.

Each hero has a variety of skills they can learn. Once recruited, add them to your Exploration and Expedition teams and take on beasts, bandits, and other enemy players while out on the trail. The rewards earned on the trail will benefit your city incredibly, so having top heroes out exploring for you is a big step in building your community.

Each hero in Whiteout Survival has one designation from each of three classifications that will tell you not only how powerful they are, but also what situations they’re best suited for. If you keep these classes in mind when building a squad, you'll be in good shape.
