"Weird Al" Yankovic

Alfred Matthew "Weird Al" Yankovic was born October 23, 1959. He grew up in Lynnwood, California where he attended high school and graduated at the age of 16 as valedictorian of his class. He received a degree in architecture from California Polytechnic State University. After graduating from college, he decided that architecture was not for him and worked for a few years in the mailroom and later at a desk job for a large radio syndication company. As well as writing and recording original music, he is internationally known for his parodies of popular songs. Some of his songs include The Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota, Smells Like Nirvana, Eat It, and Yoda. He has also written two children's books, When I Grow Up and My New Teacher and Me!
