Alfred Edersheim (1825–1889) was a renowned biblical scholar and historian, best known for his works connecting the Old Testament to its fulfillment in Christ. Born in Vienna to Jewish parents, he was educated in both Jewish and classical studies before converting to Christianity. After studying theology in Scotland, he served as a minister and later as a lecturer at Oxford.
