Ana C. Antunes

Ana C. Antunes wrote poems and short-stories for the anthology "MACK" before finishing high school at Mackenzie Institute in Brazil, where she later graduated in Translator and Interpreter in English. She illustrated and translated the magazine Magia in 1990 (Editora Ondas) and from 1989 to 1990 she worked at an advertising agency as the Art Director.In the middle of the year 1990 she graduated in Arts with License in Artistic Education at the University in Sao Paulo (FAAP). She then went to England, where she followed her researches on Holistic Therapies, at the Centre of Alternative Medicine in Southampton. In 1995/96 she lived in LA. There she studied dance from other cultures in WAC (World Arts and Culture). She also attended courses in Transcendental Meditation at the UCLA. One of her stories was published in the anthology "Spiritual Visitations" by Zumaya Publications. Her writings can also be found on others anthologies, such as "A Thousand Voices" by Adventure Books of Seattle. Her poems were published on the National Literary Magazine "Mirante" (sept/2006) and on Aphelion (July/August 2007). She recently published her book "Life is Too Short...Make it a Big Shot" by the Canadian Publisher Devine Destinies, and she contributed with the audiobook co-authored with Neil Gaiman, "Hearts, Keys & Puppetry" published by BBC Audiobook America.
