Anthony Marra

Anthony Marra graduated from the University of Southern California with a BA, and the Iowa Writers Workshop with an MFA. He is 2011-2013 Stegner Fellow at Stanford University. Marra has contributed pieces to The Atlantic, Narrative Magazine, and MAKE Magazine. Anthony Marra's short story "Chechnya" won a 2010 Pushcart Prize and the 2010 Narrative Prize. Marra's debut novel, A Constellation of Vital Phenomena, was published in May 2013 by Hogarth Crown, and later longlisted for the National Book Award. The novel received the inaugural John Leonard Prize given by the National Book Critics Circle for a first book.
