Daniel F. Chambliss

Daniel Chambliss is Eugene M. Tobin Distinguished Professor of Sociology at Hamilton College, where he researches and teaches formal organizations, social psychology, and research methods. His book, Beyond Caring: Hospitals, Nurses and the Social Organization of Ethics, won the Eliot Freidson Prize in 1998 from the American Sociological Association. Chambliss also won the ASA′s Theory Prize for his work on organizational excellence, and the ASA′s Distinguished Contribution to Teaching Prize.Russell K. Schutt, Ph.D., is Professor and Chair of Sociology at the University of Massachusetts Boston and Lecturer on Sociology in the Department of Psychiatry (Massachusetts Mental Health Center, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center) at the Harvard Medical School.
