David M. Fitzpatrick

David Fitzpatrick was born in Dearborn, Michigan and grew up in Guilford, Connecticut. He attended Skidmore College and graduated with an English degree in 1988. David received his MFA from Fairfield University in 2011. His William Morrow memoir, 'Sharp: My Story of Madness, Cutting and How I Reclaimed My Life' came out in 2012 to critical acclaim. His first YA novel, WOLF-BOY came out in July of 2024. His second YA LGBTQ+ novel, END ZONE is due out on April Fool's Day, 2025 and is published by Running Wild Press and RIZE Press. His stories and essays have appeared in Running Wild Press, New Haven Review, Barely South Review, Perch, and Fiction Weekly. Fitzpatrick lives with his wife, Amy, a photographer and mental health advocate in Middletown, Connecticut with a first-rate collection of nippy fur-kids.
