David J Price was born in Woverhampton, West Midlands, England. He gained IQA qualifications and worked as a Quality Assurance Manager before retiring in 2013. He also qualified at HNC in Computing and enjoys creating digital artwork. He wrote a short story in 1998 and realized he enjoyed creative writing, this led to entering writing competitions, where he gained a special merit from the Writers Guild for a children’s story submitted. In 2013 he published a collection of these short stories in the science-fiction/fantasy genre aimed at children and young adults. The latter story involved much historical research on a prestigious 1902 Exhibition held in his home town and included an appendix of contemporary photographs of the period. He has continued his interest in creative writing with the self-publication of this his first novel An Alien Legacy: the Cygnus and Pictor connection, aimed at adult science fiction fans. He currently lives in Sedgley, near Dudley, England.
