Doug Bower

Doug Bower, maintains a multi-disciplined career. He has an A.A. in nursing from Manatee Community College; a B.S. in pre-med from Oglethorpe University; a M.Div. from Columbia Theological Seminary (Decatur, GA); and a Ph.D. in counseling from the University of Georgia. He holds a license as a R.N. specializing in sports medicine consultations; is ordained as an Elder in the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church; and is a L.P.C. licensed in Georgia and now specializes in sports psychology coaching and counseling individuals. He has held pastorates on 4 circuits in the North Georgia Conference. Dr. Bower’s previous works on faith are “From Saddlebags to Satellites” and “From Horseback to Desktop PC.” His works in counseling are “The Person-Centered Approach: Applications for Living,” “Person-Centered/Client-Centered: Discovering the Self that One Truly Is,” and “Revising the Person-Centered Approach: Pushing on the Envelope but not very Hard.”
