Doug Peterson

Doug Peterson, born in Nashville and raised in Chicago, is a son of the North and South. He is also the author and creator of the North & South series with Bay Forest Books, which includes The Lincoln League and the Underground Railroad tales, The Disappearing Man and The Vanishing Woman. In addition, Doug is the author of forty-two books in the popular VeggieTales series. He co-wrote the story for the best-selling video, Larry-Boy and the Rumor Weed, and his book, The Slobfather, won the prestigious 2004 Gold Medallion Award. Doug, a science writer at the University of Illinois, lives in Champaign, Illinois.
