Galina Krasskova

Galina Krasskova received her MA in Religious Studies from New York University in 2007. Her Masters thesis explored the interstices between ritual praxis, gender expression, and the concept of ergi, or gender transgression within Heathen ritual and community structure. In tandem with her academic work, Ms. Krasskova has been a Heathen priest and Northern tradition shaman for many years. She straddles that delicate balance between academic objectivity and her position not only as an insider to the very traditions she is researching, but as a very controversial theologian and iconoclast. She is the author of multiple books on the Northern Tradition, including “Exploring the Northern Tradition,” “Northern Tradition for the Solitary Practitioner” and “Sigyn: Our Lady of the Staying Power.” She is currently pursuing her PhD while teaching liturgical studies at a local seminary.
