James Baddock was born in London, UK, but grew up in Watford in leafy Hertfordshire and Irvine in Scotland, before qualifying as an English teacher, eventually becoming the Head of Media at a large comprehensive school in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. Along the way, he gained a BA Honours Degree in English Literature and a Masters’ Degree in Media, Culture and Communications. He has had six novels published in print on both sides of the Atlantic, all of them spy thrillers; five of these have now been re-released in ebook format, along with another four brand new ones. Three of these are thrillers, while the fourth is a foray into Science Fiction. His main claim to fame is that Billy Connolly once bought him a pint while he maintains that his greatest achievement, apart from surviving a teaching career, is persuading the Institute of Education into awarding him his Masters’ Degree simply for watching Blade Runner. He is now retired and lives with his partner Melanie. His interests are reading, listening to rock music and watching films. He is also a long suffering supporter of Tottenham Hotspur FC.
