Leopold von Sacher-Masoch

Leopold Sacher-Masoch: Leopold Sacher-Masoch was an Austrian novelist, journalist, and writer best known for his works exploring the theme of masochism. He was born in Lemberg, Austro-Hungarian Empire (now Lviv, Ukraine) in 1836 and died in 1895. Sacher-Masoch was a pioneer in the field of erotic fiction and his works are credited with influencing the development of modern psychoanalytic theories. His most famous work is Venus in Furs, a novel about a man's obsession with a woman who enjoys dominating him.
