Maxine Beneba Clarke is a West-Indian Australian writer. She has a Bachelor of Creative Arts/Law (majoring in Creative Writing and Human Rights). Her works include Overland, Foreign Soil, Gil Scott Heron is on Parole, I'm not a Racist But...: 40 Years of the Racial Discrimination Act, Nothing Here Needs Fixing, Original Skin and The Hate Race. Her short plays have been produced and her poetry has been broadcast on radio and presented at writers' festivals.
