Michael Hauge

Since the mid-1970s, Michael Hauge has made a living in Hollywood as a script consultant, story editor, writer, and lecturer. After leaving film school, Hauge became a reader for a variety of producers and agencies. Years later, acting on his aspirations of becoming a teacher, Hauge began teaching a screenwriting class through the UCLA extension program. Those classes eventually caused Hauge to begin conducting weekend seminars on writing for the screen. The seminars provide a complete "A to Z" approach to both the craft and business during two intensive days of work. Drawing on his experiences writing for the movies, Hauge wrote the best-selling HarperCollins book, Writing Screenplays That Sell, that gives aspiring screen writers a clear and concise method for mapping out a story. Although he now owns and runs his own production company catering to the Hollywood film and television industry, Hauge occasionally develops projects for independent producers.
