As was characteristic of his humble personality, his arrival was insignificant and anonymous. From birth he was inclined towards God, but he was never satisfied by religious doctrine or routine spiritual practices. In fact, his approach was revolutionary and scientific from the beginning. From a young age he experimented with many methods and was finally satisfied in his search when he met Ram Chandra of Fatehgarh (Lalaji) on 3rd June 1922. He instantly became Lalaji’s disciple, and together they went on to define the modern era of Yoga and meditation.Known to his associates as Babuji, he was a simple householder who raised a family and worked as a clerk in the courts. He wrote a series of ground-breaking books on philosophy, the science of spirituality and Yoga, God, and the purpose of human existence, in the 1940s. During the same period, he developed a set of simple meditative practices, based on yogic Transmission
