Robbin Laird

Robbin Laird is a defense analyst, author, and publisher who has spent more than four decades studying how democracies shape and sustain maritime power. His work has taken him from the Pentagon on September 11th to Coast Guard air stations, cutters, and sector commands across the United States and abroad, where he has conducted in-depth interviews with leaders and operators at every level of the Service. He has written widely on military transformation, joint and coalition operations, and the evolving role of the U.S. Coast Guard in an era of gray-zone competition and persistent chaos.
