Robert Brown

Robert Brown spent a 50-year career in broadcasting, including 33 years (1977-2010) as a correspondent for ABC News and the magazine show 20/20. Among other honors, he is the recipient of six Emmy awards; an Alfred I. duPont award; National Headliner and Investigative Reporters awards; and a Bronze Wrangler Award for Television Documentary Writing from the National Cowboy Hall of Fame. Films inspired by stories he reported include the children's classic "Fly Away Home;" the Emmy-winning TV movie "Door-to-Door;" and "The Pursuit of Happyness." His early career was spent in Tulsa, Houston and Dallas, from where he traveled throughout Texas to originate a series that re-traced the state's legends and mysteries.
